My name is Kim (@kim_deslandes), I am 22 years old and work at a beauty PR agency! I have lived near the city all my life. London is the best city to live in the world as it is always thriving. There are always new and exciting things to do in central, but also on your doorstep. London benefits from its diverse culture providing the city colourful arts, music and food. There is so much to do in London, and with its super accessible transport links makes it easy for anyone and everyone to explore and experience the city in all its glory!

What is a typical breakfast and where would you go?

A typical breakfast in the city for me would be your typical avocado on toast or porridge. I love Deliciously Ella for a healthy breakfast on the go!

Tower Bridge

Favourite place to grab lunch?

Deliciously Ella (again), Pure or Leon! Somewhere I can grab something healthy(ish) and quick, especially during my working day.

What is the ideal afternoon activity in a city like London?

Weather dependent… a sunny afternoon in a local park.

Where are the best places for dinner?

So many options! My favourite is Madera for vegan Mexican food or Circolo Popolare for the best Italian. But if I’m looking for somewhere more affordable Ethos is really nice for vegetarian buffet just off of Oxford Street, or Home Slice for yummy pizzas!

In the evening, what is the city like and where do  you find yourself?

London is always busy! Me and my friends often go to a local pub, or in the summer I love going to rooftop bars like Pergola

In a busy city like London, is there anywhere to chill?

The parks are the best place to be in the summer with a picnic and drinks! In the winter the local pub is our home away from home.

What is there to do for something fun and different?

There are an abundance of fun bars such as Bounce where you can play Table Tennis with your friends, or Flight Club which is similar but darts instead! Ballie Ballerson is a bar with a big ball pit which I’ve heard is fun!

Where is the best area to stay/sleep for young travellers?

Shoreditch I would say. It is central with lots of fun bars and  restaurants nearby. Hackney is close by and would probably be cheaper to stay there.

What season would you recommend  visiting?

Summer! Nothing beats London in the sun.

Is London best for a family holiday/friends holiday or a couples  holiday?

Friends holiday. There is so much to do, lots of bars, art museums, gigs to go to, you won’t be short of things to do in London.
