Hey! My name is Laura, I'm an architecture student, freelance illustrator and sometimes a bit of a blogger(ish). Whilst travelling, you’ll  find me with a film camera strapped round my neck babbling whatever I have managed to learn of the local language at underground galleries, coffee shops and vintage stores.

What city represents you the best?

I have written and rewritten my answer to this question about five times now meaning I basically have absolutely no idea. I keep going back to the cities I have lived in and the things from each of them that reflect me as a person. All in all, I think I will settle for Barcelona - I'm creative, friendly, open-minded and love some good old Gaudi colours.

Can you share your secret Wishlist with us?

I'm currently planning a big backpacking trip down South America to reconnect with my latin roots and discover a part of the world I know very little about. That trip will tick off a lot of my 'bucket list' places, but if I were to name a few others it would be Morrocco for its culture, Jordan for its architecture and New Zealand for the nature and adventures!

What is the first thing you do when you visit a new city?

I probably drink around four cups of coffee everyday, so it's fair to say I am a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur. That pretty much means I have a full list of cafés I want to visit whenever I go somewhere new, and will relentlessly pester my travel buddies to visit them. I'll admit it can get quite annoying...

What is your favourite place in the world?

I find that visiting places with big cultural differences to what I am used to is an immensely rewarding experience. For that reason, I would probably say my favourite place I have been to (so far!) is Japan with its the exotic foods and beautiful rituals.

What vacation type is your favourite? (City break, beach or adventure)

As any of my friends would tell you, I adore the beach. It doesn't even have to be sunny for me to want to go - I've surfed in the Scottish winter before (and I can't seem to shut up about it). However, when it comes to traveling, a good beach doesn't always do it for me and I need a little extra something to entice me, be it some history or the possibility of trying out some water-sports.
